April 6th, a 6.3 magnitude earthquake struck central Italy picturesque town Aquila, killing 294 people and driving over 50,000 out of their homes.

Airstar Italy rallied and reacted to the crisis very promptly, providing a hundred lighting  balloons to help the 12,000 rescue workers. Starting a successful partnership, Honda gave Airstar Italy a hundred generators and full acting freedom for this emergency.

Lighting balloons were used to light fields and some camp sites, permitting people to find their way and circulate safely. They were also placed in damaged sites, to look for injured victims, and assist coroners to recognize corpses.
